Welcome to Henderson North School, where we have recently installed a brand new turf that is revolutionising the way students engage in physical activities. Our state-of-the-art probounce COOLplus® turf not only provides a safe and comfortable surface for our students to play on, but also features Tapu ae line markings, which introducing its’ pupils to the traditional Maori game.

Probounce COOLplus® turf is a cutting-edge synthetic surface that offers numerous benefits. It provides excellent shock absorption, reducing the risk of injuries during physical activities. Additionally, the turf’s cooling technology prevents it from overheating, allowing the students to enjoy outdoor games  on hot summer days. The soft and cushioned surface ensures maximum comfort, making it ideal for various sports and recreational activities.

One of the highlights of this new turf is the Tapu ae line markings, which introduce our students to the traditional Maori game. Tapu ae is a fast-paced and strategic game that requires teamwork and agility. By incorporating these line markings into the turf, the school promotes cultural diversity and provide its’ students with a deeper understanding of Maori traditions. The installation of the new turf  is a testament to the schools’ commitment to innovation and inclusivity, offering it’s students a safe and engaging environment where they can learn, play, and embrace the richness of Maori culture.  The school chose our London Blue and Royal Blue Probounce COOLPlus, with a green surround, which I’m sure you’ll agree is striking.
