New Zealander’s have a real passion for rugby starting at junior club games on cold and wet Saturday mornings to watching the All Blacks. Teamturf World Rugby approved artificial turf surfaces can play a major role in the growth of rugby in NZ. No more ‘fields closed’ signs, no more cancelled trainings and games, just dry and consistent surfaces all year round making for entertaining running rugby.

Artificial turf surfaces allow for around 4 times the use of a natural grass fields providing clubs and associations with facilities to cater for a greater number of teams and players.

After installing the world’s first dedicated rugby field in 2000 at the Runaway Bay Super Sports in Australia, Teamturf has continued the development of this 3rd Generation grass technology in accordance with the World Rugby regulation 22. In 2007 Teamturf installed the first NZ synthetic rugby surface to World Rugby standard at Auckland’s College Rifles Rugby Club. This new surface has gained acceptance from the players and now provides unlimited use for the increasing number of teams at the club.

Teamturf’s completed World Rugby approved NZ installations include Fraser Park- Avalon, St Patrick’s College- Kilbirnie, Hutt Recreational Ground- Lower Hutt, Kings School- Remuera and Macleans College- Bucklands Beach. These rugby projects are a testament to our product and installation quality, these are all fantastic surfaces that perform to the highest performance level showcasing the fastest draining turf system in NZ.
